Open-source app turns tables on Big Brother

A new app called “Haven” purports to turn your smartphone into a surveillance system, using your phone’s high tech capability in your favor instead of against you. NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, who helped develop the app, hopes it can be useful to investigative journalists and human rights defenders.
