Virtue Signaling in Advertising

Why do companies feel the need to virtue signal? Seems a lot of companies are pushing the leftist agenda lately in their advertising campaigns. Doing this for adult products is one thing, but doing it for products aimed at kids is another. Can we please knock this crap off?
